"The reason why many are still troubled, still seeking, still making little forward progress is because they haven't yet come to the end of themselves. We're still trying to give orders, and interfering with God's work within us. "

— A.W. Tozer

To have a correct concept of God it must include the following: God is in absolute control of all His creation. He is absolutely perfect in all that He says and does. Anything that you believe that contradicts this is false.

"Do not have your concert first, and then tune your instrument afterwards.

Begin the day with the Word of God and prayer, and get first of all into harmony with Him."

Written by Hudson Taylor

"If we cannot believe God when circumstances seem be against us, we do not believe Him at all."  Written by Charles Spurgeon

"Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?"

"Go the extra mile. It's never crowded."

A blessed thing it is for any man or woman to have a friend; one human soul whom we can trust utterly; who knows the best and the worst of us, and who loves us in spite of all our faults; who will speak the honest truth to us, while the world flatters us to our face, and laughs at us behind our back. -Charles Kingsley

 -Joseph Stowell

All of these quotes are powerful.......

I'll comment on one at a time based upon how the Holy Spirit leads me today...

"Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?"
As I look on facebook... people seem to only talk to God when things aren't going well in their life... I don't know about you but I would dislike to pick-up my phone if the only time you called me is to ask for help...
